The Magi 04:48
"The Magi" by William Butler Yeats Now as at all times I can see in the mind’s eye, In their stiff, painted clothes, the pale unsatisfied ones Appear and disappear in the blue depth of the sky With all their ancient faces like rain-beaten stones, And all their helms of silver hovering side by side, And all their eyes still fixed, hoping to find once more, Being by Calvary’s turbulence unsatisfied, The uncontrollable mystery on the bestial floor.

about

"Music, when combined with a pleasurable idea, is poetry" (from Alan Parsons/Eric Woolfson "The Fall of the House of Usher")

Pegasus is the mythical horse of the poet. It carries him high above the everyday world into the realms of fantasy.

This record is a trip into those realms. It is meant to be an opportunity for the listener to ride pegasus himself. Every track is based on a piece of art, music or poetry, some reach back to the 19th century, some lyrics were written a few weeks ago. Together they form a journey through time and space, a quest for the timeless beauty of art.

Most of the music for this album was created for FAWM 2014, a challenge where artists try to write a whole album during the month of february. (www.fawm.org)

Home is not necessarily the place where you live, but the place where your heart feels at ease. This album is dedicated to Heimo Neuhold, my uncle, who passed away much to early during the time this album was made. He will always be, in my thoughts and memories, a part of the place I call home.
